MEGADETH: New York City Show Sells Out In Two Hours

Tickets to MEGADETH's September 26, 2007 show at the 1,000-capacity Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza in New York City sold out today after only two hours of going on sale to the general public, according to a posting on the band's web site.

MEGADETH's U.S. tour this fall kicks off in Anchorage, Alaska on September 4, taking the band through 24 U.S. cites ending up in Norfolk Virginia on October 6. Support on the dates will come from IN THIS MOMENT and THE CONFESSION.

Xfire, the world's premiere gaming platform, will host a live chat with MEGADETH as part of "Xfire Music Week" this coming Monday, July 16 at 7:00 p.m. EDT at Xfire.com. 10 signed copies of MEGADETH's new album, "United Abominations", will be given away as prizes.

MEGADETH's latest CD, "United Abominations", has sold 109,000 copies in the United States since its May 15 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
